x9 standards changing all the time. new version coming out soon. x9 has variations between banks so there will be a lot of headache, setup, and testing to get checkscannig working with each bank we might use.
Hard to tell how long we'd have to wait for this to be ready for primetime. Roll your own by bank? That project is a bit stalled.
